Education is the manifestation of the perfection already in man - Swami Vivekananda

Welcome to my homepage. I am currently a Assistant Professor in the Discipline of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar.
My current research interests include Linear and Nonlinear Structural Dynamics and Vibrations (Air Inflated Structures, Dynamics of Rotating Beams, Fluid Slosh Dynamics and its interaction with Structures), Wave Propagation in Nonlinear Lattices (Ordered Granular Media, Microfluidic Droplet Lattices, Locally Resonant Unit-cells), Bifurcations Theory, Asymptotic Methods, Experimental Structural Dynamics.
I have been teaching few of the above research topics as graduate and senior under-graduate courses here at IIT Gandhinagar and previously at IISc Bangalore and IIT Kharagpur.

Since Newton, mankind has come to realize that the laws of physics are always expressed in the language of differential equations - Steven Strogatz

If the language of science is mathematics, then most of its prose and poetry is occupied by differential equations - Richard Bellman
